Description

In terms of academia, I received a Bachelor’s in Anthropology/Sociology from the Lahore University of Management Sciences. I then received the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship to go do a Master’s in Medical Anthropology from Durham University in the UK.

In terms of my job, I first worked as a Communications Manager in a software firm, which taught me a lot about the digital aspect of marketing and advocacy, including working closely with technical teams for delivery of goals, engaging in in-depth data analytics to increase the ROI of our communications efforts, and designing and implementing innovative digital tools to enhance engagement in our products.

Currently, I lead the communications for the UNDP Pakistan Development Policy Unit, developing strategic communication masterplans across national and regional units. This has taught me a lot about working with communities and carrying out impactful communications work within a Pakistani context. I manage their six Federal, provincial and regional SDG Units, as well as manage internal and external knowledge products and communications portfolios, with a specific emphasis on managing strategic partnerships, donor outreach and evaluation reporting.

All in all, I am hyper-organized, adaptable, quick to learn, and love immersing myself in new contexts. For this reason, I feel that I would be a valuable addition to your team.
