ZIMCO International Corporation (Online Internship) Pakistan Power Systems and IoT Intern Mar 2022 – May 2022  Designed Distribution Boxes, Learnt about transformers, Industry 4.0 ACADEMIC PROJECTS SMART IRRIGATION SYSTEM (FINAL YEAR PROJECT) ● Targeted to serve the common population at an affordable cost cutting water wastage and preserving natural soil fertility. ● Utilizes GSM to send Actuator feedbacks and Sensor data on Things Speak server interface visualizing data in form of Virtual Gauges and Graphs. ● Regulating water flow based on Arduino inputs from atmospheric moisture, temperature, soil moisture and rain drop sensor (Analog). ● Cutting down valve costs by designing one using a RC-Servo and regular ball-valve. Cost cuts from 272 USD to around 20 USD. PARKING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM ● PIC18F4450 microcontroller was C-programmed, and Proteus was used to design the circuit. It had three pushbuttons that provided external interrupts for entry, exit, and counting reset. To display the counts, an LCD monitor was interfaced. OPTERON PROCESSOR ● Developed instruction sets and architecture according to von Neumann’s design. created a C++ simulator for the assembly language commands. POWER SUPPLY UNIT ● Used Proteus to design the circuit for a power supply unit, then implemented it on Wiroboard. It was made up of capacitors, a voltage regulator, and a transformer. It had 5V and 12V DC outputs and required 230V AC as input. CAMPUS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM ● Created a desktop application using JAVA Swing and My SQL as the database for the Campus administration system. The software had modules for administrators, teachers, and students. EXTRA CURRUCULAR ACTIVITIES ACM STUDENT GIKI CHAPTER Topi, Pakistan Event Coordinator Sep 2022 – Present ● Organized ICPC Onsite West Asia Regional Contest final round on Campus Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute ● Served 150+ participants approximately 55 teams. ● Managed Organizing team of approximately 60 members including team heads and sub-heads. RESEARCH PUBLICATIONS ● Iftikhar, H.; Khan, M.; Khan, M.S.; Khan, M. Short-Term Forecasting of Monkeypox Cases Using a Novel Filtering and Combining Technique.
