During this period, my second year research project was “The Synthesis of Substituted Amide Derivatives and its Molecular Docking Studies against Carbonic Anhydrase IX”, supervised by Dr. Umair Tariq and Co-Supervisor Dr. Mariyah-al-Rashida. This research thesis has provided invaluable insights into pioneering applications and developments within my chosen field. Notably, I gained extensive
knowledge in various practical applications such as Thin Layer Chromatography, Separation Techniques, Recrystallization, Rotary Evaporator, and Spectroscopic techniques (1HNMR and FTIR) as well as computational tools like ChemDraw, AutoDock, ChemSketch, Discovery Studio, Pyrx and Chimera. These analytical skills have been immensely beneficial, providing an
understanding of molecular structures using computational tools, as well as insights into laboratory procedures for compound synthesis and purity testing.
