My dream to become an accomplished and admirable software engineer is facilitated with the interest my inner self has significantly show cased in Computer Programming. I would not entertain various social point of views to influence the description of my fascination for this incredible field, however, I am personally intrigued by the fruitfulness of its application in present day. Simply recognizing the dependency of the countless websites, apps, digital platforms and telecommunication media on Computer and Programming, I ended up realizing that there is no other way to go about. My participation in the 'Speed Wiring' module of the 2022 NUST Science Bee event gave me post High school experience and exposure to connect Computer knowledge into practical application. No doubt it dwelled my mind deeper into thinking about the ways the Computer world can assist the present day life. LUMS, with its enlarging scope of producing exceptionally polished and intelligent minds over the past decade, is the heart of my preference. I feel like its the best place for me to unleash my present capabilities and discovering more right there. Post graduation from LUMS would really help me find better job opportunities based on the incredible expertise I am highly hoping of getting from here. The most valuable achievement I have been blessed with through experiences; be it from school exams and other activities in or out of school, is the observance of failure as being just a new opportunity. I have instilled the reality of this fact in my overall life challenges. That is why I am sure LUMS selection committee would acknowledge me as a precious student. Moreover, I am personally diligent of my own progress and the final achievement of my goals and I have been very much helping towards my classmates, throughout school, especially in the Computer lab, where I was quick to pick key concepts and methodologies from my teachers. Engineering is my first and foremost preference over many other educational fields because it is something that has, and is developing at a really fast rate. Therefore alot is on offer to study and gain knowledge about in this field. Computer Science is the contemporarily the most progressive and valuable subject in engineering field, that teaches skills in-demand across the globe. Discussing with various teachers, students and friends at school and around, I got the direction of seeking what you are passionate of. Obviously, life’s too short to live without what you are passionate about. My aim as a computer student is to become a proficient programmer. To be able to deal with most kinds of complex algorithmic problems, breaking them down into sub problems. I dream of being persistent with different programming paradigms, of not giving up at any cost. My major aim is getting the ability of taking risks and developing flexibility in critical thinking to be open to solve problems. Ensuing my attachment with computers from almost childhood at school, I learned different skills in the field of computers. I have studied Information Technology (IT) and my skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Power point were exceptional at O-levels. The feature that I loved the most is web Name: Abdul Ahad Sajjad development and familiarity with photo editing software. The creativity that I invest into the decomposed parts of a program has been admired by many teachers. Along with the ability to apply them to other branches of programming. I think these skills and their successful accomplishment will help me get motivation, something that is essential for taking the next step ahead. They also get you along the lines of consistency and give confidence for being able to solve even bigger algorithmic problems. All these potential benefits are best met in an environment with friendly and high quality learning. The best destination for them is LUMS, and I am sure the LUMS faculty would have something on offer for me.
