Acting as an In-charge Legal Section of Policy Wing.  Represent the Government of Pakistan, through the Secretary, Petroleum Division, before the Judicial/Quasi-Judicial forums.  Handling Court Cases & Legal notices on behalf of the Federal Government.  Draft, and vet comments, pleadings, Agreements, and/or any legal correspondence.  Attend the hearings before the Courts, FST, and Ombudsman.  Assist the concerned Directorates of the Petroleum Division in the creation, vetting, and reviewing of the Laws, Rules, and Policies on various matters.  Prepare and provide legal opinions on various legal issues.  Ensure compliance with Government policies and Court orders.  Liaison with attached Oil and gas companies on Court cases.

Handling and responding to Court Cases (Civil, Criminal, and IR-related matters) & Legal notices in coordination with counsels.  Filling of Recovery Cases against the Defaulters.  Swift response to all new cases filed against or by SSGC and coordinating with peer departments for feedback/response.  Manage and update records (in hard and electronic form) of all court cases, and legal notices received from various courts and legal forums/ Authorities.  Represent the Company in Judicial/Quasi-Judicial and Regulatory Proceedings.  Attend the hearings before the Courts, OGRA, NIRC, Ombudsman, Regulatory and Government Authorities in different cases on behalf of the Company.  Ensuring that work of any nature carried out for the company is done so in a legally compliant manner.  Working in liaison with the external counsels hired by the Company and Senior Management, Government Authorities, regarding all legal and corporate issues to ensure the company is up to date on the status of all pending litigation.  Prepare and provide legal opinions and speaking orders on various issues.  Assisting the Arbitrators in various Arbitration proceedings and Dispute Resolution.  Close liaison with regions and external counsels regarding the Progress of cases.  Prepare the Note for processing the Lawyer's Professional fees/ Legal expenses for the approval of competent Authorities.  Creating and managing the litigation database of the company and preparing Periodic Reports for the Directors/Management of the Company.

 Handling Court Cases including civil, Criminal, IR, and Recovery matters in coordination with external counsels.  Attend the Courts and give evidence in different cases on behalf of Company. Page 3 of 4  Draft Replies of pleadings, legal notices and Appear before OGRA and Wafaqi Mohtasib (Ombudsman) and other forums in all issues on Behalf of SNGPL.  Reviewing, organizing, and creating briefs on all pending cases of the Company.  Ensuring that work of any nature carried out for the company is done so in a legally compliant manner.  Creating and managing a litigation database of the company that is sent to the Directors of the Company every month.  Prepare legal opinions and speaking orders on Different issues.  Working in liaison with the external counsels hired by the Company to ensure the company is up to date on the status of all pending litigation.  Make sure the Recovery of the outstanding Dues from the Defaulters and timely institution of Recovery suits against them within the stipulated time.  Visits the litigant customer for the recovery of the outstanding dues from the Defaulters. (Out of Court settlement).

It is a law firm that mainly deals with Civil, Criminal, and Banking Recovery matters.  Attend Courts in cases on behalf of different banks before Banking Courts.  Prepared fact sheets and drafted Plaints along with written statements and replies etc.
