Touqeer Ahmad Abbasi

I am certified Project Management Professional from PMG-Pro PM4NGOs-APMG International England, with a proven track record 20 years professional experience in management of development and humanitarian projects. I was part of senior management team of UN agencies, INGOs and NGOs. I designed and implemented WASH, Livelihood, Shelter, Health, Education, Community Infrastructure and Environment Rehabilitation Projects in all the administrative territories of Pakistan. I developed and super headed operational and financial plans of respective projects keeping in view programme quality standards. I managed multi-disciplinary team and delivered different project keeping in view country programme strategy of respective organisation. I developed the process developing country programme strategy of different organisations. I super headed the process of developing programme quality standards that was replicated by HQ in other country programmes. I successfully concluded Pakistan Flood Settlement Recovery Programme in a record time of 15 months. I introduced the concept of Integrated Resource Recovery Centre in Pakistan and establishment of first IRRC is in progress. I am honoured to provide technical assistance to Government of Pakistan on National Appropriate and Mitigation and Actions Preparations and Municipal Solid Waste Management Solutions. My endeavours include formulation of Pakistan's first National Sanitation Action Plan, National Behaviour Change Communication Strategy, and Provincial Strategies for Water, Sanitation, Solid Waste Management, Pakistan Country Paper on Sanitation in PACOSAN and Initiation of Polio Eradication through WASH Improvement. I also carried out mid-term evaluations of different projects for different organizations and wrote more than 100 proposals/expression of interest for different agencies which contributed towards programme development. I am familiar with the reporting formats of different organizations such as European Union,DFID,CIDA,ECHO,USAID and CERF.
