Big Data Architecture Consultancy & Implementation: Mercy Health Services USA Role: Project Manager Project Goal: Alignment of business vision and technical architecture through a detailed data and AI strategy. This had to be derived by assessing the current challenges, future goals and bridging the gap through an implementation roadmap. The execution phase is ongoing.
Project Result: Ability to meet Mercy’s business objective of using data as a strategic asset.
Targeted Marketing Campaigns: Duty Free Shopping SG Role: Team Lead Project Goal: Duty free shopping, a travel-retail enterprise, wanted to select the best candidates for their target marketing campaigns through personalization to improve conversion rates and ROI.
Project Result: Wide and deep neural network trained generates a per-user propensity score, representing their likelihood to purchase a certain brand within a certain time window. Client’s campaign turnover was increased by 10x.
Reactivation of Inactive Users: Duty Free Shopping SG Role: Team Lead Project Goal: Duty Free Shopping wanted to retain its customers by reaching out to inactive customers at the most appropriate time.
Project Result: Based on user history, purchase patterns and tenure of interaction with the retailer, we trained a model to predict the survival probability for a certain number of days in the future. Users whose probability fell below a certain level would be reached out to and the client was able to save up to 200 days of customer inactivity, by sending them reactivation offers at the optimal time. Self-Navigating Intelligent Wheelchair Bot Role: C++ Programmer, Co-Author Project Goal: First the development of a self-navigating intelligent wheelchair bot using a combination of sensors with Arduino Uno to ingest real time IOT data. Second, the implementation of Dijkstra’s algorithm over the processing unit, to find the shortest path on a map, given a start and end point.
Project Result: Successful simulation of an Intelligent Wheelchair Bot for differently abled people, with precise map navigation and obstacle avoidance, and accurate identification of the shortest path over a number of different map tests.
Storytelling through image descriptions and albums Role: Data Scientist, ML Engineer, Co Author Research Goal: Train ML model to generate meaningful stories over randomly selected image sets from albums.
Conclusion: A dataset containing one set of images in sequence, another set of story in sequence and another set of descriptions in isolation was used to train LSTMs to generate stories over randomly selected images.
