I have always been fascinated by applied science and engineering, not only due to its wide applications but also because it is founded firmly and beautifully on mathematics and because the various theoretical concepts are practically implemented. Within this vast and challenging field, I am interested in serving myself as a researcher in Chemical Engineering, particularly in organic/material synthesis and characterization. While it is true that expertise can only come from experience, I feel the need for stronger theory better understanding, and more exhaustive treatment of advanced concepts. I am confident that my education and life experiences have prepared me well for my future endeavors. Throughout my academic career, I have strived for excellence. I underwent intense study and training to complete my Masters and bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering. During my undergraduate studies, I have been exposed to a wide area of expertise and branches of study that make up the discipline of chemical Engineering. My hard work and urge to learn led me to be among the top 16 students in the Chemical Engineering Department. In addition to a bachelor’s degree, I have also completed a master’s chemical Eng. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore with a GPA of 3.67/4. Life at the university was endowed with all the tools for learning, hence enhancing my faculties to the fullest. I learned to apply the knowledge and concepts such as Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, and Energy Utilization that I had acquired during my bachelor’s degree to very specific applications in chemical Engineering.

I also have research experience in nanocomposite syntheses, characterization, and applications in wastewater treatment. I have also three international publications on high-impact factors in Nanocomposite synthesis and application in wastewater treatment with more than four years of research experience in UET Lahore.  I am confident that I have the requisite analytical skills needed to undertake research-based graduate studies. Acquisition of knowledge and keeping up with the development in the nanotechnology sector is my ambition for the future.

For the fulfillment of my ambitions, I seek experience at a reputed and respected institution such as LUMS. The research work going on with such a large-scale industrial collaboration lends a high status to this university. It will be an exhilarating and fascinating experience and an honor to be part of such an intellectual community.
