About

I have my bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Master’s Degree in Engineering & Public Policy. Throughout my life, I have been working on sustainable development projects. When I was an undergraduate student, my final year project was to make feasibility and prototype of micro hydro power plant for one of the site located in Islamabad, Pakistan. During my master’s degree from McMaster University, many of my projects were related to water, climate change and sustainable development. I worked on Hamilton waterfront development with city of Hamilton and it was a great experience working with the city. I have designed infographic poster for Hamilton city which was displayed by them. I also wrote memorandum for COP21 which was held in Paris in 2015. For one of my course Energy and Public Policy I wrote cabinet submission on the topic “How government can improve or increase the use of renewable energy”.I have written many Policy Papers and Memos regarding many issues which includes health, climate change, industrial policy, sustainable energy, GMO foods and water. I can work on AutoCAD, GIS, Microsoft office and PDF editors. From the beginning I had an interest to work on sustainable development projects. When I was working with National Management Consultants as a consultant, my main project was “Industrial Policy for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The purpose of industrial policy was to make industry of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa run by using various sustainable tools, and with all the hard work government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa implemented our policy in the province and named it as “Industrial Policy KPK 2016”. After that I started internship at United Nations University-Institute was Water, Environment and Health. My main project was to assist the water security course module and work on economic activities and development. All my research was based on sustainable development goals, especially SDG 6, clean water and sanitation. I also represented UNU-INWEH at McMaster Water Week 2017. I designed infographic poster for Economic Activities and Development in water security sector, which was displayed at McMaster Water Week. After my internship, I started working with smart step training and consultancy firm. I was given a task to work with government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on water related issues in the province. I conducted different surveys in the province and met different stakeholders. Purpose was to overcome the water issues by providing different tools. I have excellent verbal and written communication skills. I have vast experience of facilitating and organizing meetings, workshops and webinars with different stakeholders, NGO’s and government officials. I have a knowledge and understanding of Ontario Water Policy. Throughout my career I have been recognized for my hard work and positive interest towards the work. What I will bring to this position includes effective communication skills, writing skills and research skills, the ability to acquire and keep the work up to date and provide the highest quality of positive work as a Leader. I was also selected to receive the McMaster W Booth School of Engineering practice Leadership Excellence Award valued $6000, just on demonstrating excellence in academic achievement abilities. I am excellent in speaking, reading and writing English. I can use many software related to engineering and also have ability to use MS office.
