I was born in a family of artists. With a painter Mother and director/producer Father I had great opportunities in learning the basics of film making. I was very young when I developed my interest in post production. I insisted my father to take me to the office after school. with passion I taught myself to edit videos on a Non linear Editing Unit. With the passage of time, I became the youngest editor in Islamabad city. I was 15 years of age when I worked as a freelance editor for different directors and production houses as well as I went to school simultaneously. At 18 years of my age I was credited to 3 tele films, 4 Drama series, 2 Drama serials, 8 Documentaries and 5 Music videos as an NLE Editor.By the time I had developed a good understanding about screenplays, direction, framing and lighting. But I needed to explore deeper. In 2009 I had an opportunity to jump from being an Editor to a Cinematographer.I took the opportunity and moved into the field I wasn't aware of, "practically".After a 12 days test project with ISPR, I was commissioned in Mindworks Media as an assistant cameraman. At that time Mindworks Media had experts from USA, Romania and UK who were responsible to recruit young energetic people to run this production house. I was trained by Luke Rochealu in camera operations and further trained in lighting by Bilal Lashari during the pre-production of a full-length feature film “WAAR”. I served as a Camera Operator, Steadicam Operator & Head of the camera department. After this I had many opportunities to work behind the camera. I have mostly worked on feature films, My second film as a camera operator was Bilal Lashari's "The Legend of Maula Jatt".Film as DOP: Syed Noor's "Tere Bajre Di Rakhi", Shamoon Abbasi's "Gidh". I have also worked for ARY, Six Sigma, I Dreams Entertainment & Pyramid Productions, my recent work was with I Dreams Entertainment, Drama Serial "Pehli Si Mohobbat" During this decade I have also produced a number of documentaries & DVCs as well as I have worked on many TVCs for eg, Coke 100 years, Amir Khan Sting Challenge, Mountain Dew.
