Not lacking in emotional intelligence and will-power, I am a self-motivated, disciplined person who is at the moment foreseeing his future very bright in terms of knowledge, personality and career. Taking a decision is no doubt a difficult task but standing firm on that decision is what the true men are supposed to do. Choosing City and Regional Planning as a field was one of my several decisions in life that I could never regret being aware of the fact that it is a rarely recognized discipline in Pakistan. A visit to Bahria Town – A state of the art housing scheme in Lahore just pulled my interest towards this field. The way principles of design were in practice, utilities provided there, the infra-structure and habitat of that place truly deserves to be given as the example of a planned community. Secondly, I chose City and Regional Planning as a roadway to serve the humanity. Planning being a social science, leads to Urban Renewal, Resolving the Housing problems and laying down the policies and guidelines for efficient use of land. The teacher who taught us Housing subject used to give examples of U.S. that how they are tackling this issue in a way which is suitable for both the Government and their community. Now it’s me who is the most courageous to work in urban unit because I always want to work in a private organization.
