Description

I am writing this letter to reflect my enthusiasm in the position research associate that will uplift both my personal and professional goals. It has always been my long-standing ambition to pursue such post to keenly advocate health, safety, and environmental  challenges.

I opted for Bachelor’s in Environmental Sciences from Government College and University (GCU). Environment, as a field, has always fascinated me right from my undergraduate days and to pursue my interest I participated in environmental programs, webinars, and awareness walks. I realized how important the subject of environment is and how much intrinsic worth it possesses. My academic background has given me the skills necessary to handle the pressure of this difficult work. Recently I have done my research my research that focuses in evaluating evaluating risk assessment of workers at second largest salt mines of world ;Khewra mines. My research opens up gate not only in solving and assessing environmental knowledge but also in speaking up for the rights of underprivileged people and labor community under the subject of environmental jurisdiction.

My degree in Environmental Sciences has given me the skills to assess issues from an environmental standpoint while considering the limitations. I’ve completed project-based internships to achieve this goal and found solutions to issues in the actual world. I completed my first project-based internship at a reputable Planning and Development Board of Pakistan. The aim was to fight air and water pollution so by putting up monitoring stations, establishing pollution prevention plans, and offering environmental consulting services, I completed the tenure of this internship. During my second internship at Environment protection Department. I was able to get a deeper grasp of the inner workings of environmental as well as legislative issues and worked on the creation of numerous IEE and EIA reports. Also, I have done  an internship at Zain Institute of Occupational Health and safety of workers and had gained experience of auditing

I also worked with different NGOS and gained experience of community volunteering. I collected the funds for Pakistan’s leading humanitarian charity foundation, Edhi Foundation, through social media and community work as it gave me a sense that it is not only about giving but how truly our emotions are connected in giving. I did my first fellowship Program at Amal and completed a competitive written application and interview process to be selected from over 4500 applicants for interview 3-month fellowship funded by Stanford University. In this fellowship I was able to interact with people from different cultures. I developed an outstanding work ethic and enjoyed a good working relationship with co-workers. In another NGO named FAIDA; I did many awareness campaigns and raised voice for the rights for underprivileged and orphaned children. Together with my team we raised funds and provide them with basic necessities. I have high hopes that the institution will discover that my academic background and interests match the requirements for this position.
