Mohsin Khalid

I am a Librarian at the Sindh Institute of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (SIPMR), Karachi, with 12 years of professional experience in library administration, information services, digital library operations, cataloguing, classification, and academic resource development. My responsibilities include overseeing library administration and budget management, supporting faculty and students in accessing relevant information resources, organizing and maintaining course books and library collections, and coordinating activities in accordance with HEC requirements. Alongside my professional responsibilities, I am pursuing an M.Phil. in Library and Information Science (LIS). My research focuses on the historical development and current status of LIS education and research in Sindh, with the aim of contributing to a better understanding and improvement of the field. My professional goals are to enhance library and information services, strengthen digital library resources, develop well-organized and relevant academic collections, support evidence-based education and research, and contribute to the advancement of Library and Information Science in Pakistan. I also aspire to continuously develop my professional expertise and advance toward higher-level leadership, administrative, and management positions within the library and information science profession.
