  I am writing in this regard to access the Librarian position that you are currently advertised. This is a position in which I am highly interested, and I feel that I am a strong candidate based upon my education and my experience (of 10 Years) in providing access services to Library patrons. I have a strong academic, research, and professional profile in Librarianship. I have good working exposure at managerial positions and my role is (Library Manger, Trainer and Researcher). I have sound experience in academic Librarian ship and grew up my career path. The educational requirements to access Librarian position closely align to my scholastic background. I am using current and emerging technologies to develop instructional and informational content for my Library science degree. I am expert in using latest Library software like Koha, LIMS, Dspace, EndNote, Zotero, Mendeley, CALIBRE, DLMS. My library skills are as under ·         Respond to the numerous reference questions on daily basis, referring students to appropriate resources and offering training in research techniques. ·         Performed regular cataloguing of new acquisitions, maintaining accurate data and building a strong knowledge base of library’s materials by using Library Software. ·         Consolidate Serial Collection: Created spreadsheet to track subscriptions, selected additional magazine to enhance collection, and ensured timely and accurate payment for over 15 subscriptions. ·         Streamlined tracking for books sponsorship, resulting in significant improvements in processing. ·         Created displays for seasonal and special occasions, such as Poetry Month, Black History Month, and Back –to-College themes. Consulted with colleagues to design and implement meaningful and appealing displays. ·         Researched and compiled materials for language teacher’s project on history, art, culture etc. ·         Supervised volunteers & juniors in specific library duties, including shelving, processing, and special reports. I am responsible for the management of the Library until we close. My role is continuously evolving to meet social and technological needs and deal with information in many formats, including books, magazines, newspapers, audio recordings (both musical and spoken-word), video recordings, maps, manuscripts, photographs and other graphic material, bibliographic databases, web searching, and digital resources and research journals. I also provide other information services, including computer provision and training, coordination of public programs, basic literacy education, and assistive equipment for people with disabilities, and help with finding and using community resources. Finally, The Librarian position is an ideal one for me because it centers on what I love about my current job: ensuring the patrons receive quality service within an active Library environment.
