My name is Junaid Ahmed and has over 21 years of extensive experience within the realm of shipping and logistics business in Pakistan. This long and intensive experience has given me an in depth insight of the overall shipping and freight forwarding related businesses in changing circumstances of Pakistan. I have keen interest in business venturing and enjoys an avid grasp on the commercial and economic strengths and vulnerabilities in this arena.
I had been associated with the leading frontline national and multinational shipping companies in various managerial capacities holding the portfolios of Manager Commercial (Import & Export), Manager Imports & Customer Facilitation, Manager Import & Export Documentation progressing from executive level positions. I had been working for Anchor Shipping & Trading Private Limited, GAC Cargo Systems Private Limited, Pacific Delta Shipping Private Limited, United Marine Agencies Private Limited and International Freight & Logistics Services. During my association with these prominent companies, I had been leading the respective functions with high level of professionalism and integrity. I had expertise in managing departments and achieving set targets by leading assigned teams. My span of expertise covers handling of all types of documentation, monitoring & evaluation of business targets, strategizing and implementing business policies, ensuring proper procedures, handling Customs department officials, handling key accounts, customer facilitation, quality systems implementation, internal audits and supervision of commercial operations.
I am a graduate from University of Karachi. Beside others, I had attended courses on ‘Auditing to ISO 9000’ by Systems 9000 International, on ‘Dangerous Goods Regulations’ and ‘Cargo Sales Basic’ from the prestigious PIA Training Center, Karachi. I had also attended various conferences as organized by IMMTA and PIFFC on Multimodal Transport and Freight Forwarding in the contemporary times.
