Barirah Shaikh

My name is Barirah Shaikh. I am an ambitious student with a strong desire to succeed. I thrive on a challenge and establish goals for myself on a regular basis so that I have something to work towards. I have good time management skills so that I can manage and complete things on time. I have a constant source of motivation to perform my best since I enjoy what I do. I am also an excellent communicator. I take pride in ensuring that people have the correct information since it leads to better outcomes. I am well-versed on MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) too. My long-term goals involve growing with an organization where I can continue to learn, take on additional responsibilities, and contribute as much value as possible. I always try to create a safe and ambitious environment with a strong interest to participate in a hyper-competitive environment and focus to maximize performance. I have completed an internship at State Bank of Pakistan as a "Student Brand Ambassador". There, I built brand awareness and actively promoted 'PomPak - Learn to Earn' through social networks and social media platforms. I also received a stipend and platinum certificate for achieving the target assigned to me. I was also selected as a FastFutures intern at Avado. It was a 12-week online programme where I got to learn from various employers who helped me  enhance my business skills on these five modules - Data and Technology, Marketing, Finance, Teamwork, and Entrepreneurship. I received a certificate for completing virtual "Human Resource Program at GE. I was awarded for efforts and services as Delegate (UNHRC) at MUNIK. To enhance my knowledge I did few online courses from Coursera and also received certificate for completion i.e. Preparing to Manage Human Resources by University of Minnesota, Excel Skills for Business: Essentials by Macquarie University, Essentials of Entrepreneurship: Thinking & Action by University of California, Brand Management: Aligning Business, Brand and Behaviour by University of London, Introduction to Psychology by Yale University. I also received a certificate for participating in Japanese 5S Methodology conducted by Toyota and UNAP.
