Field Security Associate (FSA) UNICEF at Emergency Operations and Rehabilitation Hub Sukkur N Sindh Pakistan from Dec 2022 Dec 2023. During this emergency my job was to support the country office and the Field Security Officer (FSO) in gathering information and in analyzing the overall security situation of N Sindh and to make appropriate recommendations. I have to provide administrative support and guidance for accessing inaccessible areas of the UNICEF Programmes with random visits to various districts of southern and northern Sindh to obtain information affecting program implementation, staff and non-staff security thus enabling access for better program delivery. I have been Planning and coordinating security of the field missions and day-to-day routine tasks independently. While dealing complex issues or observed any deviations from established procedures are discussed and resolved with supervisor and the FSO. Being FSA UNICEF Sukkur Hub, my job responsibilities includes: 1. Collect, update and disseminate information regarding the security of the hub-office, as well as all staff and non-staff, including SOPs, security advisories, staff lists. 2. Conduct preliminary assessment of Security Risk Management measures (SRM) respective UNICEF hub office; as well as the threat assessment of inaccessible locations required for the programme activities; submit findings to hub lvl supervisor and FSO for final assessment and implementation of precautionary and mitigation measures. 3. Report security incidents affecting concerned UNICEF office, staff and non-staff, and assets on a 24-hour basis. Respond to staff security emergencies, 4. Participate in organizing and delivering security briefings, training / sensitization sessions on security awareness and preparedness. 5. Provide security orientation to newly assigned staff members as instructed by the FSO and in coordination with UNDSS. 6. Support the operations and management of the Security Contingency Plans as well as the Warden System, including the conduct of exercises, and administer the Emergency Communications System. 7. Monitor adherence to UN Security Management System procedures and practice, including SRM and RSM compliance. Monitor existing security measures for the safeguarding of staff, visitors, UNICEF property and premises, as well as the emergency evacuation plans and report any discrepancies to the hub supervisor and FSO. 8. Establish and maintain effective relations, cooperation and liaison with local authorities and UN security cell members on issues of security. 9. Timely initiate and finalize action for security clearance for internal and external travel of staff and visitors. 10. Provide general administrative assistance to the Field Security Officer, attend Security Cell Meetings and Security Briefings. 11. Performed all other security related tasks as directed by the hub supervisor / FSO.

My job responsibilities as Deputy Accessibility and Security Specialist Polio as follows: 1. Leading Security team at Karachi to Support Polio Eradication Program. 2. Conduct preliminary security risk assessment for PEI and EPI all Programmes as well as the "threat assessment" of inaccessible areas required for the Poliomyelitis Eradication activities and submit findings to the Accessibility and Security Specialist and Coordinator Emergency Operation Center Sind for final assessment and implementation of mitigation measures. 3. Plan and coordinate security for the polio Campaigns in Sindh Province 4. Plan and Coordinate Security of the national and international staff including High-Profile Delegations 5. Establish and maintained security networking and partnership building with LEAs /HG. 6. Ensure Popper & timely deployments of security force provided by the LEAs for the scheduled PEI /EPI activities. 7. Participate and supervise the security awareness sessions, training and briefings to the workers and staff to avoid untoward situations 8. Monitor and supervise the security deployment for the workers and staff deployed in the field. 9. Report and follow-up of the security incidents related to the polio staff and workers. 10. Quick response to the emergencies, including follow up on arrests and detention of culprits in line with SOPs.

1. Security Risk Assessment for the potential clients and security surveys of major projects. 2. Plan and coordinate the Guarding Operations of the Sector. 3. Induction training of the Security staff. 4. Supervise and ensure verification of the Guarding force from the Forensic security cell. 5. Timely deployment of security at all locations and smooth functioning of the operations. 6. Monitor existing security measures for the safeguarding, and recommendations to the clients. 7. Enhancement of Business through effective and efficient guarding services. 8. Supervise and ensure effective and timely response to the incidents by QRF. 9. Supervise preparation, verification dissemination of salaries to the staff and guarding force deployed on the locations. 10. Ensure timely preparation and disbursement of the invoices and recoveries from all the clients.

1. Management of the security operations Guarding services and support for cash in transit services of the region (Sindh and Baluchistan). 2. Safety and Security of the Banks including State Bank of Pakistan 3. Safety and Security of the Oil field Organizations. 4. Timely deployment of the security at all locations 5. Safety and Security of the VIPs including Residential security and Escort Services. 6. Security Risk Assessment and projects surveys for the potential clients keeping in view the budget allocation for the security services. 7. Assistance to the Regional Manager in all administrative and Operational Matters, marketing and recoveries. 8. Supervise and ensure proper training of the Guard Force as per the SOPs. 9. Supervise salaries preparation and timely disbursement to the staff and on location guard force. 10. Timely submission of reports and returns pertaining to the Guarding services in line with the AWT HQ. 11. Planning and coordination for new business also supervise administration and logistics for the new deployments.

Brief details of the military duties as follows:- (Commissioned as Second lieutenant after completing basic military training on 1st July 1994 and retired as Major on 3rd September 2014). 1. Selected as Cadet Officer for Pakistan Army in Nov 1993 2. 1st July 1994 Completed Basic Military Training and got commissioned as Second Lieutenant Officer and posted to Chhore Cantonment for operational duties. 3. Attended and qualified Officer Standard Map reading at Formation School Pano Aqil 1995 4. Appointed Intelligence Officer (IO at Unit lvl) 5. Posted to the Lajpal Bn 24 Sindh Regiment in 1996 for operational duties at International Borders 6. Assigned protocol officer duties with General Officer Commanding at Pat Pano Aqil 7. Promoted to the Rank of Lieutenant in 1997, appointed as Company Commander, and posted to 8 Azad Kashmir Regiment. 8. Appointed as administrator Army Public School and Boys Hostel Pano Aqil Cantonment 1998 9. Qualified Lieutenant to Captain Promotion Examination and stood second position in the promotion Exam 1998. 10. Qualified Officers Weapon Course from Division Battle School at Panoaqil 11. Promoted to the Rank of Captain in 1999 and appointed as company commander at Panoaqil Cantonment 12. Qualified Captain to Major Promotion Exam and got first position in the promotion Exam 2000 13. Commanded infantry Company in the battlefield at India Pakistan border deployed for one year. 14. Qualified Young officers tactical course 2002 from Army school of Infantry and Tactics Quetta 15. Promoted to the Rank of Major 2004 and appointed Second in Command duties also performed multiple tasks /assignments including monitoring duties and finally got retirement on 3rd September 2014
