Akash John

Mr. Akash John is Lecturer at University Institute of Radiological Sciences and Medical Imaging Technology (UIRSMIT), Faculty of Allied Health Sciences (FAHS), The University of Lahore, Gujrat Campus. He earned his M Phil degree in 2020 from The University of Lahore and Bachelor’s degree from GC University of Faisalabad in 2017. He has 6 years of teaching, practical and research experience Mr. John has more than 50 publications and also has supervised and co-supervised students.  His Research work covers X Ray Radiography, Fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, USG, Doppler, Duplex, Interventional Radiography & contrast studies, Epidemiology, Public Health, and Communicable & Non-Communicable diseases, Health Policy, Planning and Administration. He has done two Research Projects and worked specifically on HIV AIDS based Projects Focusing Transgender, Injecting drug users and Traditional Birth attendants in Transmission and Spread of HIV/ AIDS. In addition he has also conducted Surveys on Antenatal care, Hepatitis B & C, Hospital waste management, nutritional deficiencies, vaccination & Immunization & Vector Borne Diseases. Mr. John in his early career has done many Health awareness campaigns including hand washing and personal hygiene in underprivileged areas, and also served voluntarily in flood relief camps. During the Pandemic situation of Covid-19 he has been a volunteer in different campaigns of awareness, prevention and ration distribution. Mr. Akash John has been Awarded Global Excellence Scholarship by University of Dundee, United Kingdom. He has done Collaborative researches funded by foreign universities. Moreover Mr. John has participated in oral presentations in National and International conferences and holds a significant command on research work.
