My Name is Abrar Ahmed 33 years old from Islamabad. I have been working in UNICEF Third party projects (Polio) since 2013 on different position which were mostly focused on communication , behaviour change Communication,Community engagement and creating program ownership and demand for polio vaccine in some the hardest areas of Pakistan. I started my journey as Union counsel communication support officer and got promotions with time . I was the one of the key responsible for the pilot of CBV (Community based vaccination) in Pakistan which is now the biggest project UNICEF have in Pakistan. I was district health communication officer responsible to find female Pushtoon HR, hiring, Training and than implementing the program from 2014 to 2015 . Engaged the top religious and political leaders of Pakistan to gain support against the refusals families for polio vaccine. I have been than promoted to field coordinator and was managing more tan 2000 polio CBV staff along with almost 100 communication staff including 5 District communication officer. I am national high risk population communication officer at National Emergency operations centre Islamabad since 2018 and my main focus is the high risk Pushtoon high risk district around the country and i am supporting the communication staff for polio.
