Respected Sir/Madam, I'm a graduate (August 2020) in Accounts & Finance from Bahria University Karachi Campus, and I'm eager to enter the workforce. Whilst pursuing the degree, I developed a strong interest in Finance and my passion for it led me to appear for CFA Exams. I’m eligible to claim exemptions of 8 papers of ACCA. During my final year, I’ve prepared term reports with my team on impact of Covid-19 on Financial Markets throughout the world while being the group lead. I’ve interned at Shahid Habib & Co. Chartered Accountants where I worked as an Audit internee. I learned the basics of auditing and was later directed towards different clients where I’ve been reconciling the accounting records, preparing and analyzing financial statements. I worked on an SBP assessment regarding AML/CFT as per the advice of FATF to Government of Pakistan and submitted a report on the discrepancies in operations to the State Bank of Pakistan. I travelled across the country for the surprise assessments of the said matter. My expertise led me to a financial analyst and investment advisor at AIM & Co. (Private) Limited. The role is part time where advice on investments and prepare and financial statements. My role includes Analysis of Financial Statements and forecasting of the business model by carrying out financial modelling as per client’s requirements. I joined Rafi Securities (Private) Limited in January and worked as an Assistant Equity trader. My role includes advising clients on their investments, carrying out quick researches and managing the client’s portfolio. I joined Venus HD TV as a financial analyst and ended up broadcasting on the television in a very short span of time. I prepare financial reports, of the companies listed in PSX, that are authentic enough to be broadcasted on television. I’ve learned a lot from these experiences, however I still consider myself a student and an active learner. I’ve always been passionate about working as an economist and a financial journalist and as a CFA Level 1 Candidate, it would be a great opportunity to kick start my career in Financial Research as well as a journalist.
