About

I am Abdul Nafay Rustamani, a university teacher specializing in Islamic Studies and Comparative Religion, with formal teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in public sector universities of Sindh, Pakistan. Since 2022, I have been serving at the University of Sindh as a Teaching Assistant, which is a recognized academic teaching position involving independent classroom teaching, not assistantship to senior faculty. In this role, I teach BS and Master’s level major courses across multiple departments. My core teaching areas include Qur’anic Studies, Hadith, Tafsir, Fiqh, Islamic History, and Comparative Religion, where I introduce and critically discuss the beliefs, scriptures, and historical development of various world religions. In addition to major courses, I also teach compulsory Islamic Studies courses to students from diverse academic backgrounds and departments, ensuring clarity, relevance, and academic rigor. Previously, from 2020 to 2022, I worked as a Visiting Faculty Member at Sindh University, Laar Campus, where I taught undergraduate courses in Islamic Studies. This experience strengthened my teaching skills and provided me with extensive exposure to curriculum delivery, assessment, and student engagement. I hold an MPhil in Islamic Studies and have strong academic interests in classical Islamic scholarship, Hadith sciences, thematic Tafsir, belief (Iman), and comparative religious thought. My teaching approach integrates traditional Islamic knowledge with modern academic methodologies, encouraging critical thinking, intellectual discipline, and respectful interfaith understanding among students. I am committed to higher education teaching, academic development, and research-oriented learning, with a focus on nurturing analytical and ethically grounded graduates in the fields of Islamic and religious studies
