Your typical day at work:
– Co-ordination with cross functional teams and vendor for integration of new nodes with live Network. – Execution & Follow up of Work orders. – Participate in cutover activity for new nodes and co-ordinate with stakeholders for smooth execution of the activity. – Co-ordinate & follow-up post-cutover issues with vendor support teams for in time resolution.
Functional Skills/Knowledge Areas:
– Responsible for KPI Monitoring and Maintenance as per company expectations/targets. – Responsible for Handling of Subscriber Complaints. – Responsible for CDR, Stats trace and protocol analysis. Log files and debugging to assist in problem identification and resolution. – Majorly responsible for O&M of SDP, RBT, Top-up Services, BlackBerry Enterprise Server, WAPGW, Commercial Websites/WAP Portals, SMSC, MMSC, CGW, ICS, VMS, MCA, USSD, VSMS, BSMSC etc; – Basic knowledge of Intelligent Network, its flows and protocols, including CAP, Diameter etc; – Development of tools, shell / DB (oracle and Sybase) scripts, ftp’ing files for monitoring systems/services and automation of routine tasks. – Having an overall view of network with end to end flows. – Strong Follow-up and analytical skills. – Perform Daily Health Checks of all the nodes & Trouble Ticket Handling. – To ensure smooth end to end ATPs for all given projects – Participate with other teams in Networks for activities on their systems that might have impact (outage) on our systems like IP Network team (Firewalls, Routers), IN team, switching team (STPs, MSCs, TMGWs, HLRs), System team & database team. – Working knowledge of Sigtran, SS7, SIP, SMPP, SOAP, BICC and other core signaling protocols.
