• Designation: Oracle Technical Consultant

Industry: Telecom                          

Qualification: Degree in Computer Science or Engineering from an accredited institution. Oracle EBS Certification will be a plus.

Experience: At least 3 years working as an EBS technical consultant and should have been involved in at least 2 implementation/rollouts including one on R12.

 

Responsibilities & Authorities:

• Active member of the implementation and support team participating in all implementation, rollout, enhancements and upgrade projects taking responsibility of designing, building, testing and implementing any technical requirements.
• Responsible for the design, development, build, testing and deployment of new or changes in configuration and/or custom extensions like Reports, Forms, Alerts, Workflows, Interfaces, and other related Concurrent programs
• Management and supervision of all development work being carried by different vendors in EBS assuring the solutions proposed and the quality of the work done.
• Provide support to the end user and to the functional consultants in resolving any issue or query
• Participate in gathering requirements from key users and guide them on Oracle best practice providing solutions and highlighting drawbacks of the different options and scenarios possible.
• Identify areas of improvement and proactively review with users possible IT enhancements as part of a process and quality program.
• Liaise with Database Administrators for impact analysis of software updates, patches and enhancement requests on existing data model.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining resolution procedures, using industry standards for development, testing and user acceptance to ensure a standard company policy is adhered to
• Responsible for developing, maintaining and distributing documentation like Technical Design document, Database Extensions Document, Test Scripts etc
• Liaison with Oracle for upgrades, patches and SR

Skills and Competencies:

• A significant background working with Oracle E-Business suite R12
• Strong technical skills including:
  • PL/SQL
  • Oracle Workflow
  • Oracle JDeveloper with OA Framework Extension
  • Oracle Discoverer
  • BI Publisher
• Some experience in BI Apps or Oracle OBIEE is highly desirable
• Should have exposure to Oracle AIM methodology
• Experience in distribution and/or FMCG industry will be a plus
