Job Detail- Network Administrator

Position: Network Administrator
Industry: Banking
Location: Karachi
Qualification: BCS/BE in Computer Science or in related field, Certifications in CCNP / CCSP is preferred, Linux / Solaris is preferred, MCSE Security.
Experience: 2+ years experience in administering and troubleshooting network of multiple interconnected sites/managing CISCO and juniper switches, routers and firewalls/Administering and monitoring of LAN, DXX, DSland Wireless links/network monitoring security tools like MRTG, proxy, etc
Job Description:
- To install, support and maintain new server hardware and software infrastructure
- To manage email, anti-spam and virus protection
- To set up user accounts, permissions and passwords and to monitor network usage
- To ensure the most cost-effective and efficient use of servers
- Suggesting and providing IT solutions to business and management problems and to ensure all the IT equipments complies with industry standards
- To analyze and resolve faults, ranging from a major system crash to a forgotten password
- To undertake routine preventative measures and implementing, maintaining and monitoring network security, particularly if the network connects to the internet
- To provide training and technical support for users with varying levels of IT knowledge and competence and to supervise other staff also
- To work closely with other departments/organizations and collaborating with other IT staff
- To plan and implement future IT developments and undertaking project work
- To manage the website and keeping internal networks running and observe the web usage by the employees.
