Location: Head Office, Islamabad – Field Office (on required basis)

 Qualification & Experience:

  • Minimum of Master’s degree in Geophysics or related discipline, advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 20 years experience as a Processing Geophysicist in the Oil and Gas Industry, including experience of minimum 5 years as Manager Data Processing.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing processing projects.
  • Liaise closely with colleagues and other E&P company to ensure that the processing results meet their requirements.
  • Design workflows and optimized the parameters to improve the seismic imaging.
  • Review and write seismic processing contracts and specifications.
  • Educate and train technical staff on best seismic processing practices.
  • Submit tender packages to E&P Companies.
  • Supervision and QC of junior staff.
  • Provide geophysical support for the seismic acquisition group.
  • Prepare detailed budgets and timelines for processing projects.
  • Evaluation of new business opportunities.

Required Skills:

  • The experience should include time and depth processing of 2D, 3D, 4D seismic Land and Marine data.
  • In-depth knowledge of seismic signal processing and imaging.
  • Extensive experience of using the Processing Software products like Omega and CGG Geovation.
  • Strong experience of static/velocity model building and depth imaging.
  • Good experience of seismic analysis techniques including AVO, inversion and reservoir characterization methods.
  • In depth knowledge of VSP data processing.
  • Experience with RTM, multi-component and azimuthal processing techniques.
  • Experience of preparing processing bid packages.
  • Good knowledge of Processing Hardware.
  • Knowledge of structural geology, petroleum geology, geophysical and subsurface mapping techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal skill with the ability and desire to work in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong presentation, written and communication skills
