Overview
Qualifications:
- Must have minimum of 5 years working experience in the software industry
- Must have minimum 2 years of experience with leading a team of 3 or more developers on medium to large size software projects
- Must have strong understanding of and experience with at least one industry standard server side language (Java or PHP)
- Must have deep knowledge of and experience with the front-end programming (XHTML, JavaScript and so forth)
- Must have strong knowledge of deployment and operations of at least one web application server (e.g. Apache)
- Must have strong working knowledge of MS SQL Server or a similar relational database system
- Must have strong working knowledge of Linux or similar OS.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services in plus
Other Requirements:
- Must have worked on at least 2 commercially released web applications (please provide links if publicly available)
- Must be capable of learning new technologies and taking on mission critical challenges that involve configuring online servers to support millions of users
- Strong communication skills are imperative.
- Must be capable of handling pressure, taking responsibility, and identifying and resolving bottleneck, resource, and time constraint issues in the software production pipeline.
- Must be dedicated and committed to delivering on project deadlines within a given timeframe. Must have a “do-what-it-takes” attitude!
- Must be aware of security issues and best practices for securing web application deployments
- Experience with hosting providers a strong plus
- Must be sharp and quick-witted with a “puzzle solver” personality.
- B.S. in CS or equivalent from a reputed institution
- Knowledge of mobile games and their art pipeline a plus
- Knowledge of the gaming industry, tools, and trends a plus
- Knowledge of the QA process and tools a plus
Position description:
- The candidate will lead the server-side development effort across multiple game titles. The programming will revolve around a mixture of Java, PHP and Linux based shell scripting.
