Overview
The client, large Automotive Group in Qatar, are looking for the Head of Asset Accounting.
Key Result Areas:
• Asset accounting input to the client and reports for all major and minor capital expenditures.
• Capitalisation of all projects under appropriate accounting treatment.
• Fixed assets management.
• Facilities sharing agreements input and accounting.
• Materials and Spare Parts Inventory Accounting
• Effective Management of Section
Activities:
• Lead and manage the team responsible for all aspects of financial accounting for all projects, ensuring that professional standards and regulatory requirements are met.
• Plan, direct and co-ordinate the monthly financial accounting process for all capital projects, ensuring accurate, high quality, timely and complete information.
• Co-ordinate a monthly minor capital expenditure stewardship meeting with representatives from the relevant functional Groups.
• Oversee the production of the monthly schedules to be input into management reports for all major and minor capital projects.
• Ensure that an accurate and timely fixed asset register is created in the SAP fixed assets module, which captures the full capitalised cost for each project.
• Responsible for efficient and effective recording of Fixed Assets and Materials including all financial and accounting aspects thereof.
• Develop and manage the financial inputs for accounting for shared assets between client affiliated companies and new projects in accordance with the Facilities Sharing Agreement.
• Responsible for the asset accounting of all Capital lease arrangements such as residential properties and other assets.
• Recommend change/improvement to financial systems for all aspects of asset accounting processes.
• Ensure the appropriate financial close-out of all major and minor capital projects.
