Job Description
Responsibilities:
Managing marketing of LUMS program and internal communications of the network:
- Develop and implement a communications plan that includes strategies and benchmarks;
- Strategize and plan operations of marketing, external relations and communications;
- Develop strategic plans according to the vision of University’s Leadership;
- Develop and design publications;
- Create and monitor guidelines for usage of LUMS logo and material;
- Coordinate in developing strategies;
- Maintain online calendars of upcoming meetings and program events;
- Develop and ensure distribution of online newsletter and brochures;
- Market undergraduate and graduate academic programs through newspaper, advertising, on campus presentations etc; and
- Determine communications priorities and forecast resource needs.
- Develop specific communication tools and made institutional presentations to visiting foreign and local dignitaries. Identify potential donors.
Managing of Web-based communication:
- Design and maintain website and explore other online communications strategies;
- Work with the IT based publication systems and database;
- Implement outreach and promotional campaigns and strategies;
- Cultivate media contacts and place stories in print, broadcast, blogs and other online sources;
- Create a strategy and oversee implementation of an active LUMS presence within social media platforms- face book, twitter, others.
- Produce online and print publications and other outreach & informational materials;
- Ensure that the website remains current by conducting regular content audits; and
- Develop annual and long--‐range communications strategies.
Providing general administrative and organizing support:
- Leading, supervising, monitoring, motivating and developing the communication team;
- Manage grants tracking and financial reporting deadlines, and assist in the development and submission of grant and financial reports;
- Coordinating and ensuring that contracts and payments are executed promptly and appropriately;
- Sharing general administrative and organizing responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- Communications and social networking expertise;
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically about communication and outreach strategies;
- Knowledge of communications and database management software, web development/design/maintenance, common computer programs and online web tools;
- Ability to establish priorities, maintain a variety of projects and activities simultaneously, and complete work in a through, accurate and timely manner;
- Good facilitation, writing and oral communication skills;
- Willingness to travel on occasion; and Experience in philanthropy movements.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience with significant experience at managerial level.
- Masters or a four-year Bachelors degree from HEC recognized institute.
