Minimum Requirements
Intermediate level CA exams / MBA / MBA (Finance) with 3 - 5 years of experience in a financial management role, preferably in non-profit organization.
Job Summary
Responsible for accounting & financial management and providing administrative support for projects and programs of Prime Institute of Public Health. Should be able to perform under tight deadlines and in a team based approach, under supervision of Finance Supervisor.
Job Description
- Provides senior management of PIPH with compliance, variance & analytical review of financial reports of projects and programs under PIPH.
- Checks financial reports of projects and programs under PIPH for accuracy and verifies the expenditures through documents and prepares overall financial report.
- Determines ineligible costs for projects and programs and suggests corrective actions.
- Assists in provision of financial documents and prepares responses for queries from donors.
- Communicates with project sub-officers and coordinators for obtaining information in support of financial reports.
- Prepares disbursement documents, prepares forecast and compiles information including information of cash in hand where applicable.
- Coordinates with and facilitates the audit team and provides them with information, books of accounts, vouchers, files, ledgers and all documents related to fieldwork during audit.
- Facilitates internal audit staff of Prime Foundation in conducting internal audit procedures.
- Supports program staff in preparing, updating and modifying project budgets.
- Prepares vouchers, withholds taxes, prepares tax challan, payrolls, payment documents, cheques, acknowledgements for delivering them to vendors, suppliers and employees.
- Manages effective filing of financial records.
- Bookkeeping in electronic form.
- Preparation of bank reconciliations and ancillary documents.
- Records receipts of funds from funding agencies.
- Acts as custodian of petty cash management systems and makes payments from petty cash as per approvals from Project Director, PIPH.
- Prepares cash books and cash vouchers, and enters the record in electronic form after approvals from senior management.
- Recommends strategies for improvement in financial management systems at PIPH.
- Serves as member of purchase committee of PIPH.
- Execute administrative and HR related routine tasks at PIPH under direction of Project Director.
- Assist senior management in administration of office by keeping a record of inventories, consumptions and purchases.
- Support program staff in arranging meetings, trainings and workshops and coordinate with participants, travel agents, hotels etc.
- Any other duty assigned by Project Director, PIPH.
- Salary will be commensurate with qualification/experience on mutually agreed terms.
