Overview

Applications are invited for a two year fellowship in the field of Infectious Diseases. The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan has recently recognized Infectious Disease as a sub-specialty of Internal Medicine and SKMCH&RC is a CPSP-recognized training site in Infectious Diseases. Graduates of the programme will be expected to take the sub-specialty examination leading to the FCPS [Infectious Disease].
Training will be imparted in clinical infectious diseases and will involve outpatient and inpatient settings as well as rotations in microbiology. Three infectious disease specialists are on staff at the hospital and the institution sees a very wide range of infections, both in normal and in immunocompromised hosts. Elective rotations to other quality institutions will be encouraged. Fellows who perform very well during their training may be offered an additional year of training at an affiliated institution overseas.

Eligibility Criteria:
  • FCPS in Internal Medicine.
