Qualification: Must be a bachelor degree in engineering (Electrical or Telecom).

Experience: 3-5 year experience in Core Transmission O&M

Responsibilities & Authorities:

• 3G Core Transmission Network Operation
• Capacity and VLAN configuration for 3G/LTE on Metro and Long haul PTN network
• To ensure core Transmission (IP MPLS, SDH, DWDM, PTN) network availability and to take proactive measures to maintain it.
• Coordination with vendor for fiber break restoration and to ensure SLA
• To monitor vital core transmission network KPIs and perform routine quality testing to identify any issue followed by permanent resolution
• To coordinate and implement new core Transmission network entity provided that all relevant checks are done including comprehensive PAT.
• Network Optimization based on analysis of key Performance Parameters of SDH/PDH/POS interfaces and Optical fiber used in 10 GB/s & 2.5 GB/s systems of ZTE & HUAWEI.
• To keep record of updated core connectivity network data and relative documentation.
• To perform health checks and ensure that routines for corrective and preventive maintenance are timely and precisely done.
• To co-ordinate with vendor & regions for emergency situation handling. To ensure that emergency plan is referred before engaging the vendor.
• Network swap of existing Metro SDH Network with new Packet based PTN Network
• LLD review and MOP finalizations and approval for major network cutovers & system up gradations
• Co-ordination with other departments like IT, NSS, BSS ,Rollout, FOPs, VAS, OMC for routine issues, system integration and up gradations.
• Network Commissioning, Operations &  Maintenance service configurations and troubleshooting of IP MPLS, SDH, PTN & DWDM Networks
• Preventive Maintenance of Transmission Metro Network
• Coordinate with NOC and other stakeholders during troubleshooting and other day to day activities
• Sites Surveys for new fiber node locations
• Hardware replacement in Transmission Metro Network which includes IP MPLS, SDH, DWDM and PTN nodes.
• Coordination with vendor for faulty hardware replacement in Core Transmission network
• Acceptance procedures reconciliation of Core transmission entities

  

Skills and Competencies:

• IP certifications will be considered an added benefit.
• Excellent knowledge of  Core transmission network
• Excellent knowledge of Core transmission network performance parameters and their interpretation and use.
• Good knowledge of network implementation/integration processes
• Excellent presentation Skills
• Excellent communication Skills
