Director Program & Research LUMS Job in Lahore
Position Purpose: The Director Program & Research will lead all the Program related activities of ASP-LUMS including Trainings, Research, Internship Program and Learning Management System.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide strategic oversight and leadership to the work of Program areas including Trainings, Research, Internships, and Learning Management System
- Develop year 4 and year 5 Annual Work plan, training calendar, Research Agenda as well as internship plan
- Ensure a robust plan for sustainability of the Internship Program beyond the life of the project
- Identify Research topics at the beginning of each year for conducting Research and to meet targets set in the Annual Work plan
- Produce a quarterly Progress Report on Training, Research, Internship, Learning Management System and material development activities
- Oversee the functioning of Learning Management System and launch of refresher programs through LMS.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in program deliverables
- Prepare budget for program consultation with Finance and ensure utilization of budget
- Organize periodic workshops through international Consultants for effective Management of LMS.
- Liaise proactively with key stake holders including LUMS Faculty, USAID, ASP Implementing Partners and Partnering Academic Institutes to ensure targets are delivered on time and in full.
- Prepare Program evaluation reports to identify areas of improvement
- Any other Assignment to be given by COP
Education, Qualification & Skills Required:
- A Masters Degree in Social Sciences/Management Sciences from an HEC recognized university.
- At least 12-15 years of experience in concerned area particularly in development sector, academia and research; of which at least 6-8 years at a senior/leadership level.
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal/written communications skills
- Ability to lead teams and work with multiple stakeholders
- Must be able to effectively manage and deliver multiple and competing priorities
- Ability to think strategically
- Ability to develop innovative strategies for program deliverables
- Knowledge of Windows operating system, Word, and PowerPoint
