Designation: Deputy General Manager - GIS

Industry: Power Generation                                      

Qualification: MS Civil / Electrical / Computer Science

Experience: Minimum 8 year experience of geospatial data management experience (must have project management experience within GIS domain and an experience of managing a team of GIS specialists and surveyors)

Responsibilities & Authorities:

• Coordinate and supervise GIS activities and personnel (spatial analysis, data modeling, development and management of databases, metadata, digital mapping, and GIS data standards and quality assurance procedures)
• Manage GIS data development and/or conversion projects including providing technical expertise, obtaining milestones, and meeting deadlines
• Provide technical expertise and assistance to meet the needs and requests of other government agencies and the general public related to the GIS system

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong project management skills as per industry standards such as PMBoK
• Knowledge of ESRI suite of products & services such as ArcGIS, Spatial, Network Analyst, ArcFM, etc
• Well versed with GIS data collection & update processes
• Thorough knowledge of GPS devices and field survey processes
• Knowledge of GIS data quality standards and procedures
