Role:

Perform database design and development tasks
Database Installation, Configuration & Monitoring
Server Performance Tuning, Trouble Shooting, Recovery, Security
Ability to Design, Implement and Test Disaster Recovery Strategy for DB2/Oracle Database.
Stored procedure creation and modification
Implement Relational Database capabilities in Oracle / DB2
Analyze new requirements to build new capabilities in the data tier
Provide enhancements and discrepancy fixes in existing databases
Develop Entity Relationship diagrams using data modeling software
Develop views, indexes, sequences etc. in Oracle / DB2
Perform tasks within agile software development lifecycle
Participate in technical review, formal presentation and accurate documentation

General Skills:

Proven ability to investigate and analyze problems using tools such as DB2 snapshots and explain outputs, Oracle statspack, AWR and ADDM.
Database Application Development Skills
In depth knowledge in various Architectural disciplines
Experience with Data Modeling tools
Expertise of banking applications would be a Plus
Excellent communications and problem solving skills

Technical Skills:

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent from a leading institution
3 to 5+ years of applying IBM DB2 development skills in development of complex mission critical Database applications
