Overview
This is a full time post based at the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, Lahore, Pakistan for a highly motivated and committed individual to undertake a key role as a full time Consultant Radiation Oncologist. The post is required to support the site-specialised consultant-led oncology services. The consultant is expected to have or develop a specialist interest in one or more of the following specialties – lung cancer, gastro-intestinal cancer, hepato-biliary cancer, head and neck cancer, breast cancer, brain tumours.
The main purpose of this post is to develop and strengthen the existing Radiation Oncology services at the hospital. Site specialization is imperative in the development of these services. The scope of responsibilities includes clinical care, administrative responsibilities, teaching and research. The individual is expected to develop close collaborative links with clinicians working in his/her specialty and work to develop services provided to patients in these areas to the highest standards including the development of treatment protocols and guidelines.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Full Registration with the PMDC
- FRCR(UK) with CCST in Radiation Oncology or American Boards in Radiation Oncology
- Evidence of relevant experience in Radiation Oncology
- Good leadership and organizational skills
- Effective time management
