Job Description

ASSISTANT MANAGER OFFICE OF THE DEAN SBASSE LUMS JOBS IN LAHORE

Responsibilities:

 Faculty Matters

  • Overseeing faculty recruitment in coordination with the VC Office
  • Maintaining faculty files
  • Maintaining comprehensive faculty lists
  • Collecting all travel grant applications and submitting to the OSP
  • Collecting and filing faculty appraisals
  • Preparing faculty tenure dossiers
  • Coordinating with HR for various faculty issues

Graduate Programme Coordination

  • Organising and taking minutes at the School Graduate Programme Committee (SGPC) meetings
  • Drafting various policies formulated at above meetings
  • Providing complete support to the conveyer of the SGPC
  • Continuously updating the SBASSE Graduate Student Handbook as necessary
  • Maintaining graduate student lists
  •  Providing academic forms to graduate students
  • Providing assistance to the Office of Admissions regarding graduate admissions as required
  • Handel various graduate student issues such as inter-department transfer, requests for leave and admission deferment

Acting as SBASSE’s Representative to the Office of Marketing, Fundraising and Alumni

  • Manning the SBASSE stall and providing other required support at the annual LUMS Open Day
  • Assisting the Office in compiling and editing undergraduate and graduate brochures
  • Writing SBASSE portion of the LUMS Annual Report
  • Attending the bi-monthly coordination meetings between the Schools and the Office of Marketing, Fundraising and Alumni

Career Services Activities

  • Handling career services related activities at the school level as required

Communications

  • Providing all writing and communications support to the Dean as required
  • Acting as the point person for compiling SBASSE’s highlights and achievements and other related information
  • Preparing the Dean’s presentation for the Advisory Board Meeting in cooperation with the Academic Affairs Office
  • Organising SBASSE events such as Advisory Board Meeting, Major Day and Graduate Student Orientation in cooperation with Academic Affairs Office

Requirements:

  • Masters from a top-tier institution with 5+ years of experience working in a reputable institution/corporation.
