Your typical day at work:
Driving, supervising and leading the team of BI solution architects responsible for delivery of BI projects while ensuring robust BI architecture. Managing scoping and design of new and existing applications deployed on top of data warehouse. Managing the day-to-day direction and coordination of the project team and reports on the project status to the project sponsor Working on architecture & Design Ownership of complete DWH & BI Infrastructure. Planning of overall architecture of the solution, including performance & storage considerations, data schemas, and subject definitions. Ensuring that the Projects deliver business value and are aligned with the strategy of Telenor Pakistan & Business requirements. Managing the direction and coordination of the project team and reports on the project status Responsible for integrating new business changes and ensure alignment of changes to any affected systems. Also perform impact analysis for all changes in DWH & BI solution scope. Identifying opportunities for technology-related improvement based on benchmark data and doing high-level cost benefit analysis. Coordinating the Planning team’s efforts for successful and timely delivery of Projects. Analyze project’s scope for accuracy and relevance with the end user’s requirements and formulate these into robust technical solution. Developing, modifying, deploying, functionally test and maintaining all BI Solutions developed on top of the Data Warehouse according to business users’ requirements. Working on release & configuration management along with proper documentation of all BI solution including architecture/design documents and user manuals. Working on maintaining Data Standards and Data Governance across Data Warehouse and BI. Managing cross-departmental dependencies to address data issues (i.e., defining data ownership, creating data quality improvement programs, performing business metadata management). Managing vendors and ensure strong relationships with vendor to carry out and deliver the projects Conducting periodic training needs analysis to assess the target audience and to define the most efficient and effective method to provide the training
