Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing registration and licensing framework and processes
- Responsible to support the Directorate in developing operational plans for strategizing the activities
- Ensure in the rolling out and review of registrations and licensing plans
- Supervise / monitor the working of the Inspection / assessment teams in the field
- Brief the management of HCEs about the requirements of Registration and Licensing
- Liaise, communicate with other agencies / organizations and departments for seeking support for carrying forward the mandate of the Commission particularly regarding registration and licensing
- Ensure effective use of resources and intelligence
- Scrutinize and process the documents and applications regarding registration of HCEs
- Scrutinize and process the assessment/ inspection reports for final decisions at the appropriate level
- Ensure confidentiality of the processes, reports and results
- Provide technical back stopping to the inspection teams as well as the staff of the Directorate regarding their jobs and functions
- Ensure to communicate results of registrations and licensing
- Responsible for the development of long and short term goals of the Licensing and Accreditation department
- Assist in developing monthly /quarterly reports on progress of Licensing Department
- Responsible for any other assignment(s) given by the management.
Qualification, Experience & Skills:
- A Medical Graduate with Masters in Public Health / Health Management / or equivalent Post graduate Degree from a recognized/accredited institute of a good repute.
- At least 15 years of experience in the healthcare delivery or public health field in public sector / government / armed forces health institutions
- Minimum five years of experience in planning, policy development, implementation and monitoring the plans
- Experience of heading an institution or a project requiring high level professional/ supervisory and work experience requiring some regulatory responsibilities will be preferred
- A proven track record of leading registration, licensing, accreditation and regulation processes in the healthcare sector and conducting inspections and audits to test conformity to Licensing Standards, Clinical Protocols and Standard Operating Procedures in public or private sector healthcare establishments.
- Demonstrable leadership skills with a flexible style – consensual and participative but decisive where warranted
- Self-confident with good presentation and communication skills
- Demonstrable integrity, energy, enthusiasm, commitment and persistence
- Ability to lead support staff teams
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills for interacting with the various stake holders in English, Urdu/or local languages
- Well versed/ skilled in usage of Microsoft technologies
