Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive Patient’s Charter and associated instruments that reflects current and future patient’s rights
  • Will be responsible for the development of a comprehensive Patients’ Rights Charter and associated instruments that reflects current and future patient’s rights and work in collaboration with other directorate staff and with relevant external stakeholders and civil society at large
  • Liaise, communicate and engage stakeholders, staff groups, patients and public to effect research and development of the Patients Charter
  • Assist in the dissemination of the charter that will facilitate comprehensive awareness and the adoption of the charter
  • Develop a standardized complaints procedure that reflects best practice and Punjab Government priorities
  • Liaise, communicate and plan strategically and operationally with colleagues from other agencies / organizations and Commission departments to ensure effective use of resources and intelligence
  • Develop and monitor action plans to ensure reporting compliance in the performance management of the patient’s charter office, and associated work
  • Lead and performance manage staff within the Charter office, developing a culture of development and learning
  • Ensure that all aspects of business conducted in the Department comply with the strategic plan of the Directorate
  • Effectively lead and manage the integration of the various components of the Department
  • Identify specific needs and ensure the effective commissioning of external experts if and when required for the Department support
  • Ensure performance indicators and targets are set for the Department which are consistent with the objectives of the Directorate
  • Ensure a proactive approach to risk assessment and management at the Department level
  • Ensure that the highest quality of internal management processes and practices are maintained
  • Establish clear lines of accountability and ensure that the staff and experts are managed within a clear governance framework and in accordance with approved professional standards and regulatory requirements

 
 

Qualification, Experience & Skills:

  • • 16 (Sixteen) years of professional education (Masters) in a Medical discipline with Masters in Public Health / Health Management / or equivalent from a recognized/accredited institute of a good repute.
  • • 10-15 years of relevant work experience
  • • Understanding on Patients’ Charters and complaints procedures for health and social care organizations.
  • • Experience of building a disciplined operational infrastructure and the ability to support continued growth.
  • • High degree of quality sensitivity for patients’ rights and experience of dealing with a range of challenging organizational issues within a complex and fluid stakeholder environment
  • • A proven Track Record of working with Civil Society Organizations and developing effective community relationships and networks.
  • • Demonstrable leadership skills with a flexible style – consensual and participative but decisive where warranted
  • • Excellent spoken and written communication skills for interacting with the various stake holders in English, Urdu/or local languages
  • • Well versed in use of Microsoft technologies.
